North Platte Rail Days – August 1st thru 3rd

This year the North Platte Rail Days – Model Train Show was held on August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

On behalf of Chad, Greg, Mark L, Erich, Dave and myself, we had a great time up in North Platte! What a well-run show, complete with meal tickets for lunch and pancakes on Sunday along with an ice cream social Sunday afternoon. The club also received a check for $300.00 for coming up. Nebraska knows how to run a show and take care of its participants! 

We also got invited to tour two layouts while we were up there. They were HO scale, but we didn’t hold that against them. They were both nicely done. And most of us got a chance to go up to the Golden Spike Tower & or the bus tour around the yard and that was really cool.

Mike and Dan from the Moffat Modelers also came up for one night and we hung out with them as well.
